The Charlotte Amateur Radio Society hosts a group activation of Oscar Sherer State Park, Park no. K-1909. Join us on Saturday, April 22nd, 2023 from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm at Oscar Scherer State Park 1843 S Tamiami Trail, Osprey, FL 34229.
The format will be just like our last one-coordinate on 2m simplex. We will be on the air at 9:00 am and get your 12 or so contacts (you only need 10) to count as an activation. Don’t have an HF rig or antenna? Don’t let that keep you from your Oscar-there should be plenty of rigs out there. The prototype “Pota Packer” may make an appearance too. This is sure to be a fun event and is XYL-friendly. So practice your lines-you know “CQ POTA” and the like and get ready. More details to follow!
